Open Your Eyes
and See the Child You Are

At The Villa The Book
A deep dive into the story of a legend. And into yours.
We’re working on a memorial book dedicated to At The Villa, Laurence Van Loo, the clubs, locations, parties, decor, DJs, soundsystems, light jockeys, and most importantly – your stories.
The ones that shaped a whole generation.
This project will explore:
The musical evolution – from mainstream to house, trance, and techno
The different venues: Kooigem, Kobbegem (Asse), the Asile, the Church, the Zénith, H2O, and more
The party concepts, wild afters, unforgettable sets
The unique vibe, dancefloor energy, the looks, the love stories
Flyers, mixtapes, party photos, videos, anecdotes and artifacts
The neighbors, the police, La Razzia, highway road trips… everything that made the legend.
Yes, everything.
Because we want to know it ALL.
After the fire, many archives were lost.
This book is also our way to rebuild that collective memory – piece by piece, beat by beat.

What we’re looking for
There will be interviews with DJs, iconic figures…
But what moves us most is you:
Your wildest memories
The people you met
The music (and DJs)
that changed your life
The miles you drove, the late-night rides, the unforgettable moments
Whether it’s funny, intense, emotional
or totally crazy ...
We want to hear it all.
Photos, stories, texts
Music & mixtapes from the era (PhiPhi, Vince, Laurent Warin, Marco de La Rocca, Fred Nasen, Johan …)
Flyers, tickets, party relics…
EVERYTHING
